misterken 0 Posted January 14, 2005 I like this image, but your Canon, like my Olympus, has a fair amount of grain in the shadow areas. Short of replacing our cameras, there are other solutions. 1) leave the grain - it adds character, but add some more to the lighter regions of the image; 2) add a modest amount of fill light (with a piece of white paper) to the 'shadow' area, then darken it on development (Photoshop or whatever), 3) use a plug-in like 'Neat Image' to remove the grain (Photoshop can be used to remove the grain, but it tends to leave you with a somewhat degraded image unless you are willing to do a lot of work with the image). WJT 647 Posted January 15, 2005 Good portrait Darien. How about a little more room on top and on the sides? I don't shoot much digital so I can't offer much advice. But Mr Ken seems to have some great suggestions. I do use Neat Image now and then to post process my scanned film. It works very well and has a lot of flexibility. Regards. Link to comment
jzbeeaol.com 0 Posted November 6, 2005 I like this half shadowing effect. I also like your model--very good looking! Link to comment
