jmcconnell2 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Very nice portrait Etan, very sharp, great light and skin-tone, 6/6 Link to comment
ivan_dzo 1 Posted January 12, 2005 Nice pose, but two problems I would say. Too shallow dof, means one eye not sharp and mouth not sharp at edge either. 1-2 stops more would do it. The hair is very flat, I would try a reflector on her right side to highlight the hair a little. Link to comment
etan_lightstone 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks ivan. I'll try and not go under f4 the next time I do a portrait like this... Would a hair light do the trick? Like a lightsource above the top of her head? Link to comment
ivan_dzo 1 Posted January 13, 2005 Hair lights are good, but can be difficult to get just right and look natural. much easier is a large lastolite or other reflector which puts a bit more life into her hair, but will never overdo it. Link to comment
paperfenix 0 Posted April 7, 2005 Very brilliant eyes , pletoric of life. She looks live and happy . I like the crop on this photo because the principal and powerfull idea is in the eyes of her and I feel the skin tone is IN the correct exposure because if you see carefully the secret of this picture is in the color of her eyes.
