leorossi 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Hi Norbert, thank you! I thought this image was blatantly didascalic, the 'meaning' being that while we go on with our pleasant homely lives martha is extinct... It's good to know it doesn't come out that way. I didn't shoot it to convey that meaning anyway. I had in mind a specific still life on which this was intended to be a variation. Cheers! 5711 0 Posted February 11, 2005 i was just to lacy to search for the dictionary yesterday..i didnt knew the word extinct...anyways..now its clear..and yes..it does come out this way..or maybe somthing similar.. the unfinished breakfast..maybe you might think of the bird..but i think about the human who was sitting here..hmm..i am still tiered :) okay..bb keep it up... cherlyn 1 Posted February 11, 2005 I can imagine this moment: enjoying a cup of coffee & biscuits, browsing through the papers, totally enjoying this moment of relaxation. Very well composed & thought out shot. Link to comment

Mike Marcotte 50,673 Posted March 3, 2005 Leo, I've always liked this picture, not just for the symetry, but for the tone & the fact that you clipped off the bottom of the saucer. Other things that I can't explain, but I think it's about perfect. Link to comment
sterioma 0 Posted May 12, 2005 I keep coming back to this shot... just to remind myself that still life shooting can indeed be rewarding... if one has the taste and "spark" to put together something like this. Very creative and technically sound. Link to comment
