jmcconnell2 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Beautiful shot Krister, the detail in the eyes is fantastic, 6/6 Link to comment
olivier_boireau 0 Posted January 12, 2005 Superbe ! Try the horizontal framing to remove the dark part of the pic. Very well done ! Link to comment
nathan_blatt 0 Posted January 13, 2005 wow! 6/7 Great detail and clarity. Just that little piece of food in front of his left eye keeps this from being 7/7 Link to comment
manel_soria 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Congratulations, very good work. I would appreciate if you can please give all the details, lenses, F, extension rings (?), flash(es), is it a wild animal or studio, full picture or croped .. ? I want everything... :) I think that this is beyond my level, see some of my best insects so far, I want to learn more: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3016895 http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2998058 Thanks ! krister hall 0 Posted January 13, 2005 The picture is shot handheld in the wild with a handheld fill-flash. T=1/200S and F=16. The picure is cropped to A4 dimensions, I always print my better imagaes to see if I like them or not. Your wasp pictures are stunning!! Link to comment
manel_soria 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Thanks for your comments on my wasps. What kind of flash ? It seems anular for the softness of the light. I don't understand "The picure is cropped to A4 dimensions", how big was initially ? The sharpness at the eyes is really impressive ! Congratulations. Link to comment
krister hall 0 Posted January 18, 2005 I used a Sigma 500 DG super flash, the softness is a bounce effect from the white flower. I always crop my images to fit on an A4 sheet for printing. In this case it means that the image was about 10-15% larger initially. I hope that the next generation of camera sensors will have A4 dimensions.. Link to comment
