simpliest composition = great image ???

 

This equation not always work, but this time it did.

the point is that the lake has a "spike" (probably a dam?) exactly where the mountains have something similar and reversed. It drives to a center strong point that even the clouds seem to have recognized, as they float just over there! The bottom doesnt' lessen the image as it stands as frame, introduction to the lake, and measure of the higher point of observation from where the image was taken.

The layering of whites in forms and colours is remarkable. I like the way this arched cloud fills the gap of the lake outlet, and at teh same time the white on the shores and rocks connect visually the cloud and the water. I see a triangle of whites, then, shore-cloud-shore which plays upside down with the triangle of the shores and outlet. Both project the viewer out of the picture, following the flow of the water.
