andre_mcnichols 0 Posted January 7, 2005 The man in the foreground stood still long enough to leave his trace on a 4 seconds exposure. Looking at the picture later I found that I wouldn't like the picture that much if he wasn't there... comments would be appreciated. Link to comment
vadim1 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Hey, Montreal! I agree with you, the person does add to the photo, but unfortunately, because he is so far, I'm not sure how many people would pick-up on that. Perhaps if he was standing somewhat closer, and blended-in a little less? Link to comment
itierra 0 Posted January 7, 2005 this pic lacks in sharpness, i have done this error myself. if you use ps there is a tool that helps improving local sharpness, besides the classic unsharp mask Link to comment

andre_mcnichols 0 Posted January 8, 2005 The pic did lose some sharpness somehow when I reduced the size to upload it here. However, the man is blurred mostly because it was a 4 seconds exposure and he was not posing. I was even surprised he appeared at all! I agree that it would be better to make him stand out a little but he didn't stand out much more in real life and I wanted to preserve the feeling of that night. Link to comment
heyjude 1 Posted March 5, 2005 I like the picture as is. Sharpness sometimes detracts from ambience..less romantic. Now this is just from a perspective of a lady Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 12, 2005 I love this photo, and I usually don't go for city photos. The colors are wonderful, and the balance (or whatever you call it). It's just beautiful! I like the man there, too. Link to comment
