mike.dickerson 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Wonderful shot. I'd use photoshop to clone out that leaf at upper left. It's a bit distracting to me, but that mere nitpicking. Nicely done. Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted January 7, 2005 The crop really works well! That you can see the yellow-tipped tail is fantastic. Agreed on the leaf upper-left, and yup, that's a real nit. The background is gorgeous. I think he picked the best berry. Did you know that waxwings, when their flock finds a great berry tree such as this, will often gorge themselves to the point where they can't fly? I thought that was funny - adds depth to their character and their look. Gluttons! Link to comment
jxsq 0 Posted January 7, 2005 thanks everyone! Mike and Christopher: I think you are right, I'll try to clone it out later. I dodn't notice much at first, but once you point it out, it becomes quite obvious. Christopher: Yes, in one of the book I read also mentioned that. What a lovely bird, I certainly learn a lot after I took photograph them. There was 20-30 birds together, most of them are Cedar Waxwings but also a few American Robins, I took about 30 shots total. They are so enjoy these berries and completely ignored me! Really wonderful experience. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 7, 2005 This was not an easy capture! The moment I looked at it it grabbed my attention and held it. Great patience and great work. 7/7 with no reservations whatsoever. Link to comment
