anniqua_karlsson 0 Posted January 7, 2005 It feels like a jigsawpussel. Some pices are in focus and some blury... I just dont get this one Link to comment
r 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Is it always necessary to 'get' it? Or, should there always be something to get? All I can say is, I found this picture pleasant to look at (and to create). So, here it is - me sharing it with you, and, just maybe getting some kind of responce.Anniqua, thanks for yours. (And a little secret: I prefer your kind of responce to the usual ooooh that's looovly's and the wow that's nice's) Link to comment
r 0 Posted January 7, 2005 The feel of this picture kinda reminded me of this (attached painting) by J.H. Pierneef (1886 - 1957).The reason I point it out is this excerpt from the page linked, it refers to the painting."In 1928 Pierneef shocked the traditionalists by including some abstract modern and as some called it " Futuristic " works in an exhibition. These were not accepted as well as his traditional works that he became known for and after bad reviews from people like Anton Van Wouw, he had to revert back to his old style."And to that I say! "What an ENORMOUS pity".Boy am I glad I don't do this art thing for a living. Trying to do it only the way you prefer would quite likely destroy any creative spirit I may have. Link to comment
charlotte 0 Posted January 7, 2005 hmmm. the tiled/geometrical effect definately does definately NOT do it for me visually.... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 8, 2005 oooh that's lovely. isnt that nice. I can see this printed big on a rough textured canvas so it could be felt as well as seen. of course it would need some sort of poxy over it to protect it from body oils but still would be 'feelable' I especially like the stuff that makes me want to touch it. elly1664876496 0 Posted January 10, 2005 Knicki hit the nail right on the head - the effects u've used give the image a real textured feel. I can see how this would have been fun to create - let the mind wander, and use your tools to help you find the images within the main image. Love that creative mind of yours! Cheers, Ellen ps, nice image 6/6 LMAO! Link to comment

oswegophoto 1 Posted January 11, 2005 . . .in case you come back here, "Thanks, and a tip o' the hat" for helping me appreciate these. It bothers me when Richard does something I don't like right away: makes me feel dense(r than usual). Richard, she's right. I'm glad I didn't rate this back when I didn't get the whole synaesthesia thing. Cheers! Link to comment
r 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Just be carefull not to cut your finger on that wrecktangle. It sounds a little sharp, looks a little touchy, smells a little blue and tastes a little wreckless. Link to comment
