michael_harris2 0 Posted January 3, 2005 If presenting two subjects as the theme, then why not light them both up? Link to comment
laurencewahlberg 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Its the depth of field Michael, impossible to do as far as I know, unless you really alter with PS presumably, taken with one spotlight to higlight the cub of choice, in the foreground. Also not a studio photograph, taken from a landrover in the middle of the african bush with a tracker holding the spotlight in an attempt to synchronise with the photographer. Link to comment
vertigoclimb 5 Posted January 9, 2005 I agree this photo has potential. But the lighting is off. Maybe, if you only had lighting enough for one lion, your focus should have stayed on just one. Especially since not only is the other lion too dark, it's also blurry. I hope you're carrying at least two spotlights with you after seeing that one doesn't always work well in such a dark, wild place. The warm hues are nice. Good luck. Link to comment
laurencewahlberg 0 Posted January 10, 2005 Thanks for crits, definately good idea to take two spotlights, then can take two apprentices along with into the dark african bush to hold them. Sadly the logistics of getting photographs like this in areas where you are a guide and pandering to the whims of guests does not make it easy to have a nice happy little photographic picnic, so sadly one must make do and become absorbed by the fallacy of the large anteater Link to comment
