detlef 6 Posted January 6, 2005 I like this because of two reasons...one its agressive pose and 2. its artistic lighting technique Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Afraid of competition? I dislike this childish behaviour. I'm here to learn. The next time I place a photo, I consider to go for the critiques only!!! Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 6, 2005 I'm convinced of your integrity and I'm very grateful to you, you've deleted the photo. Friends again! Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Thomas, your a sweetheart:-) Detlef, good to see you here! You have to pay me a visit more often! I appreciate your opinion very much. Imran, thank you for the nice compliment you gave me. Link to comment
wim.ipenburg 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Julia, what is your problem with one rating (1/1) without comment. You get a lot of sevens without any comment! Go on with these beautiful portraits, there are so many sevens waiting for you!!!!!! Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 7, 2005 I like the way you do your best to motivate me to go on, but my problem with the 1/1 rating without a comment is the combination of it. In my opinion it is a very impolite behaviour concerning a beginner in photography to not declare law ratings, because a beginner, like I am, has to learn a lot and can feel very insecure when such things happens to him. I don't speak only for myself but for all those other ones who have the same experiences. And about your promise concerning the sevens which are waiting for me...... where are your sevens?;-))) Link to comment
raimondas_baltuskevicius1 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Where are your sevens, Julia? Here is your sevens! I really like this picture. Regards. Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted January 10, 2005 1/1 ratings are generally by robots and trolls; as they're often not by persons, don't take them personally. ;-)I hope that reading the wealth of positive, personal comments left by those of us who appreciate and critique your work is enough motivation to continue in good spirits. You have a good eye; by all means, keep using it and sharing your results. Enjoy the appreciation, ignore the troglodytes. Cheers! Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Thanks Raimondas, in the first place for the kind words, last but not least for the high ratings;-). Don, I'm so happy with your contribution, the compliment you gave to me and your wise words. Sometimes you need the relativising opinion of anybody else to bring cases to their real proportions. I appreciate it very much. Tristan, nice to hear you like my portrait too! Julia. Link to comment
michael_draper 0 Posted January 16, 2005 If you keep this up you will be up in the 8/8 I love this the light that hits you is great no studio lighting I take it? which means all natural great. 7/7 Link to comment
zack 0 Posted January 16, 2005 I realy like this image. Though the highlightlights in the tripes are slightly too bright it is still fascinating. I think that the red hair sets a good contrast.6/6 Thx for sharing. Regards Zack Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 30, 2005 Half of what I say is meaningless But I say it just to reach you, Julia Julia, Julia, oceanchild, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia Her hair of floating sky is shimmering, glimmering, In the sun Julia, Julia, morning moon, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia When I cannot sing my heart I can only speak my mind, Julia Julia, sleeping sand, silent cloud, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia Hum hum hum hum...calls me So I sing a song of love for Julia, Julia, Julia Link to comment
Jawoll! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 15, 2005 The whole project with the light here is simply amazing. Great work and colors. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted August 5, 2005 This is really a natural elegant pose for a self-portrait, made special by being naturally nude and the interesting lighting. It looks very fresh and somehow shows the enthusiasm of someone starting a new project - I hope it will go on stimulating your creativity. Best wishes, Jonathan PS I nearly forgot to mention the other special thing - that you are looking over (not through) your camera so you are not hiding your personality behind the technique. julia_von_lippe 0 Posted August 5, 2005 Dear Michael, I like to thank you very much for your apprication. I know your beautiful work but alas, I have so seldom the opportunity to be on PN. Greetings, Julia. Link to comment
julia_von_lippe 0 Posted August 6, 2005 I'm very flattered through your compliments because I know you are an authority on this field. I really would like to have more time to take pictures like this, but as I already said in my reaction to Michael, I have a lack of time at the moment. Hopefully the winter season will be a more quiet time. At any rate your kind comments have inspired me to think about a sort of come back. I hope my creativity don't let me down. Best wishes to you Jonathan, Julia. Link to comment
