Bodega Bay Sunset

trevor ash

I finally got my fim scanner earlier today and thought I'd post some images up that I've never been able to before. Bodega Bay California in August. Canon EOS-3 Tamron 90mm 1 stop ND and 2 stop GND Filter Fuji Velvia Exposure unrecorded. Some additional adjustments in photoshop including flare reduction and additional reverse grad on the sky. I tried my best with the tools I had but still couldn't get things how they are shown here. Live and learn...

Somehow unreal. Oniric.

Did you try to include only from the water onwards, the light in the sand is poorer, all thou the reflections in the algae work well

I would of liked to see alot of shadow detail. If there is no shadow detail why show so many rocks. Just concentrate on one rock. I would also crop the bottom, the bottom makes the picture even more busy than it already is. I would of just exposed for the shadows in the rocks and let the highlights become muted. Was a graduated filter that you used?
