single photos Explosion of Light

I am experimenting with low light and night time photography. This

is an unmanipulated photo of a Christmas lights display.

did you simply zoom in on your subject with an extended exposure?

Yes. This was a two-second exposure with the camera in manual mode. I tripped the shutter with a remote then manually zoomed the lens.

Makes a great abstract. I could never do this without moving the camera and always ended up with really jiggly zoom lines. You did well.
