james_barber1 0 Posted January 2, 2005 I hope I'm not treading on any super-skateboarding photo pro's when I say this, but I think this is the most beautiful skateboarding photograph I've ever seen Nicely done Link to comment

john_richey 0 Posted January 3, 2005 i would like to take a second and thank everyone who has given a comment to my skateboard photos. it is something dear to my heart and it makes me feel good that i can post a photo of a sport that gets little recognition, and people react well to it. thank you all!!! P.S. if you look at his right hand........and the action of floating in the air like that brings me peace, but thats just me! Link to comment
klimax 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I think that posting an exciting, well-composed, and heartfelt photo like this will help to bring more favourable attention to skateboarding. Link to comment
codepic 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I would like to take a note on the photo being tilted towards left. I do agree it's beautiful and moody but it's neither straight nor tilted enough to be justified as a method of expression. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted January 3, 2005 When I scan the TRP, I wait for an image to jump off the page and capture my attention. This one certainly does that. I like the blown out sky, with the sharp silouette of the skateboarders punctuating the scene. You've managed to capture him so no body parts are 'lost'. The fine lines of the street lights add some nice sketched details and scale. The prominent pole to the left might look better with more of a lean, but I don't think Jani's straightened version does the image justice. It brings restraint to an otherwise unrestrained theme and also brings the strong vertical too close to both the center and the top of the image. I would say leave it as is or rotate it slightly anti-clockwise. It is both a pleasing and entertaining image. Link to comment
