eclectic image 0 Posted December 31, 2004 In the UK there is a huge controversy surrounding the age old practice of hunting (mainly foxes) with dogs. The practice has been officially outlawed as of February 2005 but a large number of people still have battle lines drawn. The traditional "big" event for the hunters is the day after Christmas Day (Boxing Day in England)and this series of shots was taken earlier this week in Yorkshire, England. I hope it conveys some of the tensions that exist and the lines that have been drawn. I do not in any way put myself in any camp with these pictures, merely a reportage of an issue that exists today and will I believe dominate in the coming year. I would apprecaite any comments, critique or suggestions. These two young riders earnt the greatest level of disdain from the Hunt opposers as they rode to join the main hunt gathering. Some would say indoctrination, some would say continuation of an age old tradition. Thanks in advance Mark Link to comment
gareth_harper 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Tradition? What happened to Christmas Sunday this year? The Sunday following Christmas Day is always Christmas Sunday. Boxing day should have been Monday this year. Anyway good shot. Link to comment
