Wow. I love tight head shots and this is a great one. I'm not sure how you pulled off the post processing, but it is fantastic. 7/6

Hmmmm... It's a solid portrait, and the detail in the eyes is exquisite. But I found several of the other images in the Jesse Cotton folder more dynamic and original. Haleh - where do you see this image in relation to the others in terms of execution and meaning? With her eyes looking off to side she appears dreamy - did you shoot one of her looking straight at the viewer? That would be interesting to compare to.

I must say your name is rather interesting! There is no meaning to this image. It is just a portrait. A glamour shot if you will. I cannot always get too deep with my images. It takes a lot out of me! I do have some more meaningful ones of Jesse and I will put them up in time.

Ah, the name. All a vast mistake. Very simple - phonetic spelling out of my initials B. P.

I made a comment on this photo which I reacted to on several levels.

Very nice exposure, but overall there is a slight overbrightness and flatness of color. Some very careful work in bringing back color gives the image a bit more depth. (Pull down the gamma curve in PS slightly) Absolutely no need for sharpening.

This is a very powerful image. The way you handled this shows you have that rare talent that can't be taught or learned.

I love your works very very much and I share your view about the purpose of art. But don't look at my portfolio though, because it's totally different. I'm here just to offer a humble and honest suggestion which might not be ear-pleasing.

You've presented a lot of your excellent works here. In the meantime, I must say they are not always consistent, in style and creativity. You could be more selective than that. IMHO, this one, for instance, can go (I guess this is what was seen but not what was perceived :o)). Perhaps the whole "Mother nature and I" folder can go too. I personally think that an artistic as gifted, creative and ambitious as you do not have to show his/her versatility and prolificness. Uniqueness and exquisiteness are what we expect from you and that will make you truely excel among others. I hope I haven't been offensive.

You are right about the " Nature and I " not belonging with the rest of my work. However, you must understand being in the studio and always working in tight quarters makes me want to spread my wings and try the "outside world"!
This one belongs to Ms.Cotton so why should it go anywhere else? I am very diverse and depending on my mood I come up with different ideas. I post them as I go and I guess people who have been kind enough to follow me along the way have by now know my style.
I have "Nature and I" as some place I could go to vent and probably find inspiration.
Lastly, I am a rebel...I don't follow rules very well! Thanks for sharing your thoughts but please recognize our difference.
