Real nice capture Simon. It's rainin' & you're pluckin' foul. That's bad enough but then there's that foul smell of boiled feathers. You caught the expressions right too, especially the woman doing the plucking.

Simon, I had begun to wonder where you where off to. Nice to see something new posted here.

 

This could just have easily been the back streets of many major cities in many parts of the world. Life is a trial no matter where you are.

 

Once again you have captured a significant moment and allowed viewers to see the message that is there, all around us if we only take the time to look. Life is a struggle, your images bring that point out time and time again.

i tried it, but there is too much grain because of the heavy rain. the contrasts were too low. principally i prefer always b&w (as you can easily see when you browsw my portfolio) but in this case it was not satisfying. thanks for the suggestion. This was taken in the biggest township of capetown on a rainy day. PS: on the other hand the colours of their clothes adds something like a lively contrast to the situation...PPS: youu can find a b&w version at www.simonbode.photopoints.com.
