albertdarmali 1 Posted December 27, 2004 Don't understand the low ratings... It just shows that taste really varies eh? I personally think this image shouldn't get anything lower than 5 or 6... I like the colour a lot, my only say on this image is the little scuff mark on the middle left of the picture (I don't know whether its a fibre when you scan the picture or a reflection from an object), but it's easily photoshopped. mike l 0 Posted December 27, 2004 Pawel, Albert, thanks for your comments. I think the low ratings were anticipated by me as it appears that this forum prefers its photos to be more representational. The scuff mark is infact a reflection off a shoe or boot and like you I had wondered about removing it, but if you view the picture large I think it makes more sense to leave it in. Link to comment
charlotte 0 Posted December 27, 2004 this is my absolute favourite out of all your photographs. it's so abstract, mysterious and the colour is great. this image stands out - i find many of your other subject matters of less interest as even though they are great technically, they aren't particularily original.i would love to see more of this kind of work from you - you have artistic vision! :) www.charlotteaberg.com Link to comment
mike l 0 Posted December 28, 2004 Charlotte, thanks for your advice, which I have interpreted as meaning that will have to work harder to use my imagination rather than rely on composition. Link to comment
psad 0 Posted December 29, 2004 Micheal, i think some people needs to understand and to know what they see. Why is so? I have no idea. A pity, they dont rate the photos "as they are", without thinking "what the photo shows". Link to comment
charlotte 0 Posted December 29, 2004 well imagination is good but everybody has different tastes - i'm always drawn to the abstract and bored by the obvious, but that's just me! i just REALLY like this one... Link to comment
