I feel like this place has more to offer than what you show. The "tilt" is not optimal, having the door (if any) frame in the photo is quite distracting. the lighting conditions are not good, there seem to be too much light outside than inside. Just my .02$

The light beam's not drawn. Other than a small adjustment to contrast the picture is straight out of the camera. Personally I think photoshop is evil.

I find the Pantheon a very difficult place to take a picture of...at least the inside. I like the added lines in the foreground instead of simply having the dome. Good approach.

I think one reason its difficult to photograph is that it is architecturaly so perfect that there isn't that much you can do that isn't inherent in the design.

I really like the way you capture the light beam; it makes the scene seem almost mystical as if I were in the presence of the gods. I think the perspective and position you have used captures a more unique view of an obviously very highly photographed building, although I would question whether this was the optimal framing of the shot. I like especially, the lack of any modern elements, especially tourists. It gives a timeless feel and makes the scene appear more authentically "Roman" (as if I had any direct knowledge in this regard:)). I think that the flaw that appears most salient to me would be the blown out highlights which appear to flare out beyond the strict borders of the sky. Digital can be unforgiving in this regard, but there are ways to tame this in Photoshop.

I gotta confess I hate photoshop. I limit my changes to contrast and occasionaly a little sharpening. Just a predjudice on my part, or maybe a sign of my age.

This is fantastic! - 7/7

Anyone who knows this fabulous building will know that you have really captured it's spirit. The tilt, the occulus light and the door are all appropriate - the heart of this temple is it's roof!

The image just upsets me, as I took a photograph last summer from a similar angle, and it is nothing compared to yours!

I've also been there and realy an amazing building. You captured the lightbeam very well. You said "I gotta confess I hate photoshop. I limit my changes to contrast and occasionaly a little sharpening. Just a predjudice on my part, or maybe a sign of my age." Personally I also only use a simple tool toadjust contrast and some tones. And it's not a sign of your age; I'm 23 and in general also don't like adjusting too much in a picture; it gets fake or too artificial too soon.
