cappoldt 0 Posted December 26, 2004 I second the motion - HOW did you do this? It's gorgeous - never seen such a striking image of a swan. Link to comment
edward_frederick_wong 0 Posted December 26, 2004 Great shot! I have never seen a shot of a swan like that before. Great timing with the posture, like a few had said before its very dynamic. The composition is great, most swan shots seem to be of them in water in daylight etc. and I dno but I usually find them quite bland and boring, but this one is different. Great job Link to comment
nate weatherly 0 Posted December 26, 2004 something about the lightig makes me feel like this was done in a studio, (As well as the fact that the wings are frozen so perfectly in the midst of obvious motion) Was this a real swan or a stuffed one in a studio? Either way the effect is beautiful and grace is certainly portrayed. Good job. Link to comment
n-j 917 Posted December 26, 2004 . . . for your kind and motivating contributions; these pictures are the result of a recently developed technique of mine, and I hope you don't mind me not sharing it yet as there's a lot to improve. all shots were taken in the blistering cold, none of them ( like asked ) is a studio work ( I would never ever take a picture of a stuffed animal, I even feel uneasy capturing animals in a zoo ). I hope you're not tired of swans yet because there are some other shots to come if you wish ( even some larger ones, as asked for). so long, best regards and a wonderful upcoming new year to all of you; nj Link to comment
