Virgo Babies Love to be Held

Our daughter, Haylee, and our newest grandson, Ty, 3 months old. Absolutely, the best natured baby I've ever seen. He smiles almost constantly and loves to cuddle!

Jayme, your skills at photographing children and family amaze me. The photographs come across with a lot of emotion and you always seem to capture the "moment". It is obvious that you put a lot of yourself into what you do. Thanks for sharing your work.

Lovely capture with a lot of detail and textures. What are you using to convert the RAW files? I've got PS CS and it doesn't appear that it has an interface for the 20D raw format. Are you using Digital Photo Professional that comes bundled with the 20D?

Ken- I am using the software that came with the camera. What a pain in the butt! I have no idea why it won't interface with PSCS, you would think for the money it would! I'm gonna check the website today for updates!

Another great capture. B&W was a great choice for this photo. Tried your suggestion to convert to B&W on my St. John's church photo...excellent suggestion. Thanks for your critiques!

Thanks to all for all the wonderful comments. My daughter is so funny. Someone told her that Virgo babies love to be held and cuddled. Now, everytime he makes a sound, she rushes over and picks him up, reciting to everyone in ear shot, "You know Mom, Virgo babies just love to be held". LOL We've all started repeating this, as we rush to see who is going to get there first! As if we really needed a reason to snuggle with him! LOL

Sweet composition, Jayme. I think most babies love to be held and most of us like to hold them, Virgo babies or not. But it's a good excuse - I'd go with it...

LOL Kim- yep.....it's a good excuse! But he's so darn cute, when you squeeze his leg, he's like the Pillsbury Doughboy, he giggles every single time! Just love those Grandkids, just can't help myself! LOL My husband is even worse! He's such a push over! In this picture Ty had on red & white striped tights, a white shirt, and then the hat to match the tights. He looked like a tiny cany cane elf ! LOL He loves the hat! So I think I got another hat wearer! Yipee! 2 outta 3 ain't bad!

The stripy composition wooks well to contrast with the smooth skin of mum and baby. A very sweet picture. Haven't got to the grandad stage myself yet but looking forward to having the fun without the downsides!

Oh Colin, it's so very fun to spoil them and then send them home and go to bed at 9pm! LOL No early morning wake up calls and all the crazy stuff that goes with that! Just pure enjoyment! LOL Should have had the grandkids first! LOL

Hi Jayme! This is a gorgeous image!! My pictures of my nephews always look like "candids" and "family shots". Your pictures of children always look gorgeous and professional. The clarity here is great, and I love the choice of B&W. Compositionally, it's fabulous that you got: (1) the mother's kiss, and (2) Ty's eyes AND your daughter's eye ... it adds to expression for both of them. Bravo!
