Low flying Truck ?

airwinger

How did this truck remain in the air whilst I took this photo. I will not tell yet but you may notice that it has an "On Tow" plate fitted. Is there enough room infront for the Tow vehicle ? I think not. All I am saying is that is where it was and it was really in the air when I photographed it with my Sony F707.

Photographed at an event I traveled to back in the summer. This was

the highest vehicle on my list to keep a memory of, taken with my

Sony F707. If you read the photo details before adding your comments

I will reveil all later. All guesses welcome. Thankyou for viewing

and please take the time to view my other works before leaving.

For the moment, I am ruling out magnetic levitation. My first guess would be a REALLY souped-up hydraulic suspension system that lets it hop, but no-one seems to be behind the wheel, and the turf does not appear to be smashed down. The shadow extending to the left is probably the best clue, unless it is just that of an observer. The crop is suspiciously close on the left. BTW, nice colors and good focus.

What a really neat inage. Not being very informed in hydrolics or levitation, I'd have to say "Magic". Really fun image, your creativeity is showing through again Steve! NIce job however you did it! LOL Did I spell everything ok? LOL

Very interesting this its photo... But the crop made me doubts if the truck is really suspended. In my case I showed how it is possible.

Good manipulation. Vivian

I can asure you that the truck is really suspended in the air. This is NO trick manipulation. i.e. I have not placed the vehicle above the ground but what was keeping it up is no longer visible. Keep guessing.

Possibly the truck was hanging from a crane, or something, and had just been released?

It looks like the strap on the front bumper isn't hanging straight down which would indicate the truck is falling.

the shadow indicates that theres somthing attached to the truck from the left side but is not visable or cloned out. possible the same on the other side.

I think Harold is on the right track. It was just released fron the helicopter that carried it, and the strap is swinging down. Balloon or parachute is unlikely; not enough control with photographers below. The Hindenburg is right out.

Thankyou all for placing your ideas & comments.Someone IS getting very close. By the way, this was at the same event as the Honda Goldwing "out of frame" photo in this same gallery.

I know the truck remained in the air for about 6 hours and I will tell that the strap was used to keep it in one position.

I think Pitman got it. The shadow of the truck on the floor on the left side continues out of frame while the shadow of the wheels are completely visible.

Now, the fact that the shadow of this element is as crisp as the wheels makes me think the it was not something picking the truck from the top but something closer to the wheels. Must have been a jack lifting the truck from under it and from the left side. My guess is that's a really big forklift on the left side.

Whoops, been so busy taking photo's of higher flying craft, I haven't landed long enough to explain. Also, I just plane and simply, forgot. There was a crane being used to suspend this for an all day display. All I did was to crop tight enough not to show the crane and then clone out all the attachments and safety straps(except that one over the number plate). I put this photo up to see how many comical suggestions or comments people would come up with. Thank you for looking.
