davidmccracken 2 Posted December 18, 2004 I appreciate this photograph could be better. I just didn't have the correct GEAR. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted December 18, 2004 This is a kick in the butt (So to speak.) It will be interested to read the responses. The end to your imagination is not in sight, as I have said in the past. I look forward to the can. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 18, 2004 Alex, One word can make me feel this was all worth while. 'Funny!' Thanks for your understanding! Owen, You never fail me and always encourage me. Sure! I do come up with ideas now and then but if it wasn't for people like you, I probably wouldn't. Thank you my friend! Link to comment
ian_miller1 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Yep, funny. Two comments - how would it look with the gerbil crawling down to, erm, its impending doom? And is it worth removing the tatoo, which gives away that it's a woman.. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 18, 2004 LOL! David, where do you find models who will do this? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 18, 2004 Ian, The rodent was uncomfortable and so I didn't want to stress it. (I do have a soft spot!) As for the tattoo. Well! I think without the tattoo, this is still clearly a woman. I am only comparing her bottom with mine in making this judgement. Thanks for looking. Owl, If you don't ask, you don't get. Usually I ask and don't get but sometimes....... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 19, 2004 teach me not to look better at first glance- I thought the tattoo was a tail to the rodent. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 19, 2004 Knicki, I knew that there would be those that thought the tattoo was the tail. You are just the only one to admit it...... so far. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 19, 2004 David, One of my squirrel friends was in the window begging for nuts when I opened this photo. It scared the hell out of him! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 20, 2004 Laurie, 'One of your squirrel friends.' You worry me! Thanks for the comment and pic. It made me smile. Just for the record, squirrels tap on my window and beg for nuts. (Not here in Hong Kong as I am 500 feet up!) However I guess squirrels must be stupid as none of them seem to have learned I am a miserable git who eats all the nuts himself. Laiz, I guess you don't know the story. Hell! Robbie Williams even sang about it on his 'Escapology' album. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 20, 2004 David, although I'm a tree hugging, animal loving, liberal softy, I don't make "friends" with every fur bearing critter I come across. This is one of three orphaned baby squirrels I raised and released. So please, don't worry. Those squirrels tapping on your window may seem stupid. But...they know eventually they'll wear you down. I hope you at least offer some morsels to the gerbil. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 20, 2004 Just joking Laurie. I am not so mean. By the way, it is a hamster. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 20, 2004 Glad to hear it David. My apologies to the HAMSTER! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 20, 2004 Richard, Thanks..... I think! Ted, I will try. Thank you both for looking! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 21, 2004 David, would a kitten instead of a hamster be too obvious? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 21, 2004 You obviously do not know the story! A kitten would not have worked! Thanks for looking! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 21, 2004 I will look into it. On the suggestion I made with the chopsticks, I found a Chinese proverb which may apply: 巧婦難為無米灶. What do you think?? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 21, 2004 A photographer does need the right ingredients. I am not sure if you can read Chinese or not. I certainly cannot. I would be intrigued to know what you believe the proverb to mean! Thanks for your time! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 21, 2004 You make me smile! That is exactly what I was told. I guess I will just have to go and buy some rice. (Photographically speaking!) Thanks Owl! Link to comment
