hasan 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Great job. Thanks for sharing. May I humbly say that it would have been even better if you had included a bit more on the right hand side? Regards - Hasan Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 18, 2004 Strong wave resulted in strong shot in your hands, congrats.. Link to comment
f. monteiro 0 Posted December 18, 2004 Hasan, you are right. I too wish I had get it with a bit more of the huge splashing part of the wave. But it's a very fast shot... Gold Fish, I tried it in B&W and it looks fine. I'll post it. Thank you all for your comments. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted December 19, 2004 Beautiful image. Reminds me of famous Japanese woodcut painting.Congratulations. Link to comment
maciek_kolodziejski 0 Posted December 19, 2004 Hi! Excellent timing, nicely framed. I like to look at this photo, but why the rest of the sea is so calm, is this wave real. Good luck Link to comment
jay weston 0 Posted December 19, 2004 It might be jpg artifacts but I can see at least one and maybe three vertical and horizontal lines in this image. The vertical one at the top left of the top wave near the horizon. But anyway, it doesnt matter, awesome shot. Link to comment
f. monteiro 0 Posted December 19, 2004 The only postwork this shot has is a small encrease in contrast and it was croped on the top and on the bottom. It was taken very early in the morning on a clear sky weather day and that explains the light. No manipulation.Thank you all for your comments and rates. Link to comment
beepy 0 Posted December 20, 2004 I have to say this - this image reminds me so much of the print by Hokusai - The Great Wave off Kanagawa - I'm startled. I thought Hokusai had an overactive imagination in that one (most famous) image. I stand corrected - love this shot for proving me wrong! Link to comment
