ergallery 0 Posted December 15, 2004 The block of black in the upper left hand corner is distracting for me. It seems to blend right into the frame. Since cropping that out of the picture isn't really an option perhaps a white border on the frame would work? Other wise a very appealing shot. Link to comment
evan_noble 0 Posted December 15, 2004 Very cool photo. While I like the silhouetted person on the left, the black box above him seems out of place. As such, I would try and crop them both out for a bit more abstract photo. Link to comment
matthew_s._schwartz 0 Posted December 15, 2004 You guys are right about the black box in the upper left hand corner... Most of my original efforts were spent on determining how to crop the photo so as to minimize it. Erika, I have updated the shot and included a light gray border. Thanks -- I think it looks better with it. Link to comment
matthew_s._schwartz 0 Posted December 16, 2004 I think you and I have a different eye when it comes to photos. I don't really go for the abstract look. :-) But I like your portfolio. I think I might try to take this shot again, but this time make sure the view is unobstructed (i.e. no black box!) Link to comment
brant-o- 0 Posted December 22, 2004 I really like it. The tones are really great. I love how you preserved the detail in the floor. The black box is a bit distracting to me too. Maybe cutting it such that the black box is out and the person is on the edge of the photo would work... almost like he/she is holding up the edge of the shot...? Just an idea... Link to comment
