Not too likely with a 4X5 View Camera.

No, it's not a candid shot. As Mr. MacEachern pointed out, that's not easy with a 4x5. However, when I do a 4x5 portrait, I try not to have things too posed. Typically, I set the camera up, put in the film holder, pull the darkslide, and then interact with the subject until the right moment. Since I lose the camera view from the moment the film holder is in place, I don't have exact control of the framing. In most cases, the freedom with respect to catching the moment more than makes up for the slight loss of compositional control.
