robert_kennedy 0 Posted October 11, 2001 I'd go the other way. I'd say add MORE DOF. Not a lot, but the distance between the foreground lamps and the ones behind it is such that you go from crystal-sharp to pretty-blurry right away. I think a larger DOF so that the lamps gradually turn blurry would really make the shot. That said, this is the BEST Burningman shot I have seen yet. Most people rely on cliche' images like "Naked person wearing paint" or "Weird art in desert". This is a different and nice image. Link to comment
j00tel 0 Posted October 14, 2001 Definitely a nice picture, perhaps a bit more DOF, as mentioned. Robert, I got a good laugh out of your "naked people wearing paint and weird art in desert" comment :) It's so true. Dan Link to comment
iwmac 0 Posted October 16, 2001 I find no problem with the limited DOF as it nicely isolates the lanterns, but I would like to see either the other half of the right hand lantern, or only the three, as the split is quite distracting. Nonetheless, a very fine photo. Link to comment
