antoni mysliborski 0 Posted December 11, 2004 this shot is incredible, it looks like a frame from some fantasy movie - not only very interesting face but everything is good - the light, the pose, quality, moment.. Link to comment

atkphotoworks 0 Posted December 12, 2004 Mark what a stunning portrait and intense expression. The colours and shallow Dof are spot on. The forest like scene makes me think he's supposed to be a sadhu or sanyasi travelling through the woods searching for the "truth" (even though he is not wearing a saffron-esque coloured clothing of any sort - but then who says that all sadhus have to look the same). But the expression is just priceless, although he seems more sad than contemplative or philosophical - which is what I thought of when I saw the caption for the image. In any case, great work. harnstrom1 0 Posted December 12, 2004 Very nice and strong expression. The highlights are burned out beacause of high contrast combined with over exposure. It is a good picture of the old man. Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted December 13, 2004 What a shot,Mark! Great capture. Excellent by all standard.Heartiest congratulations. Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted December 13, 2004 Natural unposed shot, excellent lighting. Overexposed by one stop, so not enough darrrk for balance in the pix, and whites over exposed. Right branch hanging behind is distracting, could be much more out of focus, as could be the tree.. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 14, 2004 While I haven't quite grasped the linear line of arm, the overall detail of skin and old leather and parchment added to the inward/outward look is superb. The background stone against the fresh green is a bonus. Beautifully done! Link to comment
halim 0 Posted December 14, 2004 listen man...the titel u put for that shot is the same qustion that this man's left eye is still looking for it's answer, and his right eye is distracted and showing how much broken his inner is of not finding the answer feels ...this picture is awosem...10/10 Link to comment
eduardo_covett 0 Posted December 14, 2004 What a great photo. Congratulations. This photo reminds me a man that I met in a forest when I was riding my horse. He was left in the curch by the bride and got "crazy". After that he moved to the forest and he has lived alone for a long time. Sad history ... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2005 An excellent portrait and a great folder! The 1/3 greenish background is adding a lot too. Link to comment
amitthakur 0 Posted March 15, 2007 Wonderful picture - simple and focused on the subject, what a picture ought to be. The burnt-out white of the clothes is a wee bit distracting but arresting image nonetheless. -Amit Link to comment
