It's an awesome phenomenon, and I'd say a humbling experience for those on the ground. Great example of an 'isolated' thundershower.

It is hard to find the words, I suggest seven-seven tells the story about a photograph like this.

Fantastic capture. I can honestly say that I have seen something like this once from a ridge in Shenendoah National Park. I tried to capture it, but was not nearly as sucessful has you've been here. Congrats!

Most amazing picture i've seen in a long time, i've always been fascinated by curtains of rain as they appear from long distances, but this easily outdoes anything i've seen in real or in pictures. what a awesome experience it must have been for you. thanks for sharing! 7/7!

I've been in photography for several years and this is a shot I have never seen before. This is a wonderful view of something that happens everyday, but few get to see it from this angle. You did good.

Its extreamly hard for me to belive that something like this happens!!!! You got a chance not only to watch it, but also to capture it, from a perfect angle! Extreamly wonderful picture, to say the least.

A beautiful, clear and strict composition. Harmonised in light and dark, drama and peace. Perfect exposure, great perspective and cam. position, with stunning colors.. and fine, vibrant textures and contrasts in clouds and land, that only film can capture. Stunning details in the clouds on the extreme right, that no experimental digits can capture, nor PS re-create.

That's the most beautiful rain pic i have ever seen. The drama is absolutly amazing!
