Suprise

Hi everyone, this is my first post on photo.net. I've been lurking around here for a while

and now I have a few pics I'd like to post so I can learn a bit from you all. This picture was

taken while I was on an island in southern Queensland, Australia. I believe it is a horned

crab.

I like it. Possibly it could have been a tad more centered. I think the people in the background add a lot.

Yep, love the up close and personal nature of this. The people in the background do make it really special. Good stuff!

I like the crab detail but think a wider perspective would help, as would losing the person in the tight background (on the left)

The background blur should be abit less.It does look slightly fake

Funny! I think beach crabs are hilarious to watch. The background does look weird, as others have said--especially, I think, the feet with the blue flip-flops. f2.0, 1/100th in bright sunlight--was this really your exposure?

Yeah, I just kind of typed the exposure info real quick and now that I have double checked it, just seems wrong.

Its interesting that some think the background looks fake with the blurring. I actually did it mostly to try and be sure there was no noise and don't think its actually that much more blurry than the original.

I would have liked the crab to be more centered, which makes me want even more to get a wide angle lense that I can use for wide angle macro shots. I'll have to research this.

This one caught my eye straight away. I like the fact that the people on the beach are totally unaware of the scene. Well done!

I just love this shot just the whole feeling of the picture the expression of the crab with all the commotion in the background. its a photo that puts a smile on your face ha
