pp 0 Posted December 9, 2004 Interesting....Wish the leaf was a bit more interesting..like a maple leaf or a fall colored leaf... Link to comment
elly1664876496 0 Posted December 9, 2004 thanks for looking, but if I wanted to shoot another leaf, I wouldn't have chosen this one. Ellen Link to comment
quixote0 0 Posted December 9, 2004 I think this leaf works well, especially the red, with the paint peeling. Good Shot! ~A Link to comment
jerry ting 1 Posted December 10, 2004 Ellen, yes, I agree with Andy. The fresh, lively leaf v.s. the old, peeling paint works nicely here. A very unique idea. BTW, thanks for commenting on my silverbeet and please keep your comments coming. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted December 10, 2004 Works better than the thumb suggests, the textural contrast being of prime interest to me. Diagonal is right but I'd prefer the end of the stem out of the picture. You had your reasons for choosing this particular leaf so the tear/ worm-eaten part is clearly part of the communication. Link to comment
elly1664876496 0 Posted December 10, 2004 the tear was a small link between the lush vibrant colours of a new leaf, and the weathered, flaking painted board. thanks for noticing! Cheers, Ellen Link to comment
deozmac 0 Posted December 10, 2004 I gave this a 7/7, something I do very rarely. Can't explain why really, but it could be the vibrancy of the colours, the contrast in them between the leaf, rust and weatherboards, and the strong diagonal....oh yes, and it's very original! Cheers David (PS Yes, I am an Aussie, you asked !) Link to comment
robertmccurley 0 Posted December 10, 2004 The leaf looks so "alive" with blood flowing through it's veins!...Yet it is pinned by the rusty claws that will eventually lead to death. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted December 11, 2004 Really like this. Great color and clarity! 6/6 from me. Link to comment
