Nice shot and even better find Steve. How big is that darn thing? Blue Dashers are pretty big Dragons and it is being dwarfed by the spider.

This was indeed a big spider. I would guess its body was at least a half inch in diameter. It was dusk when my then 6-year old son spotted him hanging between some low tree branches, so he gets most of the credit for this one.

 

The Minolta D7i was (I sold mine) an awesome macro camera.
