peter.gargiulo 0 Posted December 7, 2004 I assume that's sun in the background. Almost looks like a fire! Very nice capture. Also looks like a b&w photo with color added. Link to comment
alana_nash 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Beautiful picture! I would love to see more height (more of the trees). Link to comment
lapland photo 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Maybe you are right, but i thick it looks different and better in full screen, when you see more of the reflections in the water...:-) http://www.laplandphoto.com/html/winter.html Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Wonderfully contrasting palette: fire and ice, what could be more basic. I'm not as fond of the foreground. The reflection isn't that strong, and all of the focus is really on the bridge. Link to comment
john parker 0 Posted December 7, 2004 What an exquisite zen-like photo! Reminds me of an ancient japanese block print with its detail and grace. 7/7 Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted December 7, 2004 I like this as it is. A stronger reflection would overpower the bridge and snow covered trees, IMHO. Link to comment
mcintosh 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Why the black areas above and below? It only seems to destract from an otherwise excellent image. Link to comment
root 0 Posted December 7, 2004 I see more and more PN shots taken with an A2. Forgive the boring technical question, but is this hand held or tripod? Link to comment
digitalsteve 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Great shot. I really like it, but also would like to see more of the tops of the trees. That would raise it to a 7/7 from 6/6 for me. Good job, though, really!! Kindest Regards, Steve Link to comment
lapland photo 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Thank you all very much! To answer your question Carl, this is hand held? Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted December 8, 2004 As opposed to Steven S, I would have preferred to see another shot with much more of the beautifully rippled reflections, for comparison.. With the cam. tilted down to the top of the bridge, one would have lost the untidy snow laden branches and the over bright background. That would give a much more impressionist feel. As regards to James dislike of black areas...that is what makes this composition balanced, the light and the dark, otherwise, it would just be a bright bright snapshot. See.. The Tao of Photgraphy by Tom Ang if you still disagree James. Link to comment
dave_k1 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Exceptionally Well Done. Beautiful Capture with Excellent Exposure. Great Job!!! Link to comment
mareval 2 Posted December 8, 2004 Excellent use of light! Excellent composition and CONTRAST TONES! LOVE IT! Thanks much. Link to comment
kenten 0 Posted December 8, 2004 Handheld, then I have to say this is the best so far from a A2. Link to comment
