seven 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Elegant composition, Jeremy. Not sure if this suggestion is prompted by the white border, but my first thought was that the near-whites are a little high key and might profit from being pulled slightly. The other observation was the colour aspect; I might have tried a mono, but looking again at the subtle green and yellow I think it works like this.An arc would have been a bonus though it might have interfered with the existing contours. Minimalistic and simple, no waste. Well seen. Cheers, Seven. Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted December 7, 2004 What I like of this image is the fact that the two long grass bits move away one from the other whereas their shades meet. I believe that a darker edge would be more disturbing that anything. However, the photograph could just be a little darker to reinforce textures and not to count only on the grass and its shade. Composition is fine but maybe, because of the shape of the grass, leading too much the eyes toward the right and outside of the photo. Link to comment
blago 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Fine image. Like some fish with long whiskers swimming close to the surface in the sea of sand. Maybe, thousands of these tiny plants die out before one of them manages to surface. And be photographed. I wouldn't say it's a minimalist shot because nothing had been removed. It's rather a thought-provoking image - the end of life on earth or the origin of new life somewhere else. This humble plant, looking really like drawn with the finest Japanese brush, is so strong and so fragile at the same time. Charming photo, Jeremy. Regards. Blago Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted December 7, 2004 I love the image and the minimalism present. I think just a bit more room at the head would offer a nicer balance. What an outstanding find. You captured the soft tones in the sand so well. I have an overwhelming urge to rotate this ever so slightly counterclockwise. Just me? Dave Link to comment

federico disep 0 Posted June 30, 2008 A beautiful photo: you've created a very zen image based on few simple elements: delicate lines, light and shadows. Only one question: way not in Black&White? Regards. Link to comment
