johne37179 29 Posted December 6, 2004 I like the darkness of it. How is that achieved? Link to comment
rodger_wilson 0 Posted December 6, 2004 I am guessing from your name that this was takin in iceland, yet the building looks soo mid-evil. What is it's history? rwilson@colorado.edu Link to comment
lonniusmax 0 Posted December 6, 2004 I would also like to know how this dramatic effect was achieved. It is stunning and surreal. I suppose the only negatives I have about this image is the pole sticking up on the left and the near-centering of the building itself. I believe it might feel more isolated and desolate if it were moved further to the left (or right, but we might lose the road then). But these could perhaps be taste, and I do not want to detract from the excellent way you've evoked darkness into this image. Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted December 6, 2004 Good composition and a fine threatening sky. And I am not surprised it is abandoned if the weather is as bad as it looks! Link to comment

heida1 0 Posted December 7, 2004 Thank you all for your commentsAbout how I achived the darkness in the picture, I underexposed it and then I dodged the house and burned the skyYeah the house is in the west fjords of Iceland and it used to be some kind of shop for the fishermans, there is a small bay there Link to comment
