IMO, this one's better. I think there's additional detail visible with the color left in, and you get a good contrast with the background blue, making the petals lift off the page. Minor quibble: I want just a bit more light into the flower's center. Nice shot.

I think my vote, contrary to what I would have thought, is for the colour, for similar reasons as Don mentioned. However, your floral shots have tones and subtle textures, I've rarely seen elsewhere. Good job.

Provia is a fantastic film for this. I really love the color in this one--I don't even know how to describe it--between red and orange and magenta. Coral, well not that bright either.
