Harry, this is wonderful not so much for the bears as for the composition and that marvelous curved line of broken ice that leads the eye around to the line of bears. The small shadows of the marching bears continues the implied pattern and saves this from a static image. The attitude of endurance in the postures is a wonderful moment of capture. Terrific!

Its just awesome to see quality pics of wildlife in its natural state like these. A rare treat on pn these days. This is my country and the tundra is so vast...1 person per 500 sq miles. Minus 40-60 is normal up there.. no wonder we all live along the usa border . Thats a huge male leading probably stands over 10 feet high easy....another great one Harry keep em comin....slowly lol.

Father bear, mother bear and child bear, in the middle.. what is missing is the girl Goldi and the bowls of semolina.... Great resemblance to the children's story...... very beautifuly captured Harry. Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood reading pleasures.. Pnina

Brilliant composition, Harry. I love how the line in the ice recedes into the distance, out of focus in the end. The bears are perfect. You can almost see them moving. Outstanding work. 7/7

Beautiful photo. I love the wide open space and how you did such a great job of not getting the bears lost in all that white.

I also love the rythm of the steps especially the first bear and how his paw is in motion.

so darn good! love the composition and the faint zig-zag line suggesting they have travelled a long way.

Harry, if I did not hate cold so much, I would be be jealous of even just being there, and looking at them, let alone photographing them. To the Toronto zoo! Tomorrow. Thank You. Lee Daniels has nailed it right on by the way. What he said.

All that white and you were able to capture great tones and detail in this composition. I'm enjoying it a lot - thanks for sharing!
