saulzelan 0 Posted November 29, 2004 Michael - I enjoyed your website very much. My favorite images were the polaroids and the color portraits in the butterfly effect project (also, it is a very moving project that you have undertaken, thank you for your honest and revealing description). I want to go back and look at the portraits again in a non sleep deprived state, but I found especially the two author portraits compelling, and the group portrait was very well captured. Thanks for sharing your work and your personal insights! Link to comment
wichita 0 Posted November 30, 2004 Thanks for the comments. This was taken with a polaroid and it is of two dead calves. I very much appreciate the well wishes on my larger Butterfly Effect project. Link to comment
saulzelan 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Are you familiar (you must be) with Richard Misrach's work in the desert, if so you'll probably know what pieces I'm thinking of.... Link to comment
travis_pierson 0 Posted December 18, 2004 The lo-fi quality of the image works here. The geometry is interesting and reminds me somehwat of a picture of two dogs that I've posted on photo.net that's also against a dirt background ( http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2951444 ). The dogs in my picture are just sleeping, though, so it doesn't have the dark undertones of your image. Link to comment
