Winter Light

ian cameron

A breathlessly still winter evening in the foothills of An Teallach. The sun veiled by thin cloud permitted placement within the frame without fear of lens flare. The pink light was quite sublime the effect multiplied by its reflection off the snow and water. Twas very very cold though. Please feel free to visit my website, Transient light, There are some superb new shots at Timecatcher too.

First time I saw this shot I fell in love with it! I love the mood, the way you have included the sun while keeping the extreme cold feeling, the soft colors and the composition having that great rock formation leading our eyes to that beautiful mountain in the background...Simply Beautiful

Agree with Patrick. I love the colour of the sun & the sky. It cast a beautiful tone on the rocks & snow. It brings out the warmth of the cold. Very well taken. I love it too.
