Punch bowl falls

Let me know what you all think.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen this waterfall before but never quite like this. Mostly I see shots where a goodly portion of the frame is taken up by the falls themselves. But you took a different approach and are able to shoot this in a new way. I mean, the falls are even partially obscured. I like this a lot.

I love the image and the scene itself but the log across the falls completely ruins it for me.

I like that 'imperfection' created by the log. It shows nature is not a showroom for photographers, but goes its own way, regardless of the consequences for sensitive human souls.

This is nature isn't it? I heard talk about going in and getting a bunch of chain saws and getting rid of the log. Now wouldn't that be awful? I think the clone tool would be a better option. I think your outlook is a bit radical.

the log lends that human obstrution to an otherwise natural site. Well taken.
