I am very impressed with your shots of earthly scenes - really! - but don't you think that shooting the sky even with 300mm/150s is a waste of efforts when you have all these Hubble/Chandra/Keck/VLT images?

I agree, this is yours, and it feels so good when you tell someone that YOU took this photo. Well done. I use a Canon 10D and have a sigma 50/500 lens but I think I am a long way away from getting something like this from the UK. Rated 7/6

i want to take images like this but being 10miles from central london i have no chance... how did you do it using just the camera itself.

Nice shot. Personally when I photograph the night sky I do it more for the challenge alone. It's amazing when you can take amazing images that can rival some of the images taken with the nations biggest\ most expensive instruments.

Excellent, i notice you used a guided mount otherwise this would be all over the place :) ... was it a dual axis controlled? and did you guide it?

Yes, the Vixen did a good job and it was unnecesary to guide it during the 151 sec of exposure. The trick is to place it correctly oriented the best you can before to shot.

Thanks for visiting !
