People tend to slam and "3-bomb" such photos as unoriginal. There is nothing wrong with a well framed and exposed mood shot in 1:1.5 aspect ratio. They make nice computer backgrounds which is as good of a use for a photograph as any.

If PhotoNet has taught me one thing it's to trust my own judgement and take the ratings with a handful of salt...!
