dano1 0 Posted November 18, 2004 Hey all. This is a photo I took last Thanksgiving at my sister's house. My eldest sister was playing the piano that night, so I set up the tripod. I used a lens I got off eBay for $18, which was all I could afford at the time. I used the shutter cord to release the shutter and hoped for the best. Timing was crititical, as I was using about 1/8th of a sec for shutter speed. The only light that was shining directly on the subject was the light for the sheet notes. There was a small amount of ambient light coming from the kitchen. I developed in in D76, but alas, I was new to the whole develop thing, and left a lot of marks on the neg. I spent a good hour retouching the photo, trying not to alter it. Hope you like it, Dan O. Link to comment
david_shen2 0 Posted November 20, 2004 I think a tighter crop with more focus on only the music, keyboard and hands would make it better. But good shot non-the-less. Very nice feelings of warmth and beauty flowing. Link to comment
david_shen2 0 Posted November 20, 2004 I've done a crop of your image and cloned out part of her leg. I think this is more intimate. Link to comment
