gary_lawton 0 Posted November 18, 2004 I really like the concept, but the wall needs to be sharp. All this says to me is camera shake. Link to comment
derek_prinsloo 0 Posted November 19, 2004 Wall climbing isn't really a sport that lends itself to the "camera shake/motion feel" style photo (to my mind). I'd rather concentrate more on funky poses/holds and dramatic lighting with the camera on a tripod... Link to comment
maynard_case 0 Posted November 19, 2004 I was wondering if people would like the motion of the shot, and I guess they don't :-) The moral of the story: ensure that at least one thing is in sharp focus, be it the thing that's moving or the background... Link to comment
Doug Keller 0 Posted November 19, 2004 Interesting shot. The torso looks sculpted. Excuse my dabbling, but I thought it would look cool, in a twisted way, as "Man Walks On Water." Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
thomas semesky 0 Posted November 21, 2004 Interesting composition, but too soft for my taste. Link to comment
dhawks 0 Posted November 21, 2004 Nice. A sense of motion, strength and concentration, all given to us in an abstract sort of way. Screw the critics, you know it's good. Well done. Link to comment
maynard_case 0 Posted November 23, 2004 Thanks to Douglas Keller - I like the horizontal version; it looks very surreal! Thanks also to Bob and Doug Hawks - I very much appreciate the positive comments. I felt there was something about this shot that I liked, but was a bit suprised how badly rated it was. I often feel that I like photos that nobody else does :-) You've given me some confidence that I'm not alone in liking something different. Link to comment
