I have seen these in the forest myself. Looking at the LARGER view of this, one can really be appreciative of the sharpness of the Pentax optics (of which I am a user too). I did not think that the 55 could focus so close. Did you use a macro tube? Nice conversion to monochrome too. Regards.

walter, cropping brings us closer. this is about 70% of the original. i was was very pleased with the conversion of the kodachrome to b&w and am considering using it instead of bw film. bob.
