Guest Guest Posted November 16, 2004 Thank you very much for your comments. Indeed I've under exposed it while making it sepia to increase the contrast of the shapes on his face.I prefer it this way. I was thinking of putting it on the street folder, as it was shot on the street; now I think I made a good choice to consider it as a portrait. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted November 24, 2004 No doubt, this is a portrait, not a street photo. I think street photos are photos which show scenes in the street. A portrait can be made in the street, it remains a portrait. This one is excellent moreover. I like the two versions. On the darken one, the look of the old man seems more dramatic, or worried than on the other. Link to comment
michaelh 0 Posted November 29, 2004 Excellent shot and subject. Did you intentionally leave out detail in the left eye? I think dodging a bit here might alter the mood... not sure for the better or not. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 3, 2005 it wasn't intentionally.. and I've tried your method... but the result was not a thinking man but a bilnd man :D Link to comment
CosteaM 2 Posted February 14, 2005 Mihaela, thanks for visiting and appreciating my work. I consider this your best shot. If this is your first portrait, you have the eye for it. Very good composition, texture and light. Felicitari, 7/6 Link to comment
rina 0 Posted February 28, 2005 Mihaela, I like this portrait. Good sepia tones and tight crop. The eyes could show a tad more detail/light. Rina Link to comment
shambhala 0 Posted October 1, 2005 This crop works better than the first one. And the sepia tone adds some texture. Well done, girl! Link to comment
