b_adams 0 Posted November 17, 2004 I have come back to this one twice now. It holds me. Amazing story in his eyes. I would love to hear him tell it. Great capture. Link to comment

emre 0 Posted November 17, 2004 I like the hair blending into the background. The crop is very gimmicky, and the skin is overly ruddy. Link to comment
ranil_illesinghe 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Like I said, this picture was taken a few days before the man died. The reason I cropped it the way that I did was based largely on this fact. This is also why I wanted him to blend into the background. I wanted to leave the viewer with a final look into his eyes, before he was pushed out of the frame and blended into the background. Thanks to everyone that has commented. Cheers. Link to comment
cruchy_gutierrez 0 Posted November 17, 2004 very different, but I like it very much, congratulations. Link to comment
pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted November 17, 2004 The cut of the photograph, the blending, the high key, and the subject matter with your explanation of what you were doing all contribute to an excellent piece of work. Link to comment
igsman 0 Posted December 12, 2004 Usually I don't believe in such extreme framing tricks, but since this is a dying man, the composition here seems to emphasize that he is not fully alive anymore. The effect it has on me is sadness. Good job. Link to comment
