imaginator 0 Posted September 17, 2001 Sorry, but sometimes the best critique is an honest one... the flower, being centered, "floating" without a stem, and featurless background make for a dull viewing experience. Also, the center of the flower is lacking sharpness. Perhaps a different composition/angle would help, possibly having the flower off centered, even partly out the frame, with attention drawn to the detail of the center part of the flower (crop if this is the closest you can get to it) Showing a bit of the stem would also make the flower seem more natural, even if the stem is out of focus (try experimenting with lighting for the stem...)
