dark field me ...

I was not immediately sure what the title means, but the image itself raises many interesting questions. Why is the figure on the left hanging her head? Why is there a great distance between them? And why does the figure on the right turn away from the other figure? The stormy sky, lack of focus and the heavy grain only add to the drama.

 

Well done - a thought provoking, original and very well executed image!

This was taken many years ago on a cliff outside santander. There are two people. The first, on the right already reached the top of the cliff and was smoking a cigarette. The second person was following the first one, so ther's a distance between them.

Bella, mi piace l'impostazione e la sensazione che hai voluto creare. Forse mi disturbano le mani della persona piu' in primo piano che interrompono secondo me il senso della 'massa corporea'. Oppure le avrei evidenziate maggiormente. non so.

Ciao Gianluca, grazie del commento. Beh ... capisco cio' che vuoi dire delle mani ecc. ecc. Purtroppo ho dovuto con il materiale che avevo. Anna, in rimo piano, aveva freddo e si teneva le braccia strette al corpo per proteggersi dal vento. nella foto originale si capisce molto ma molto meglio. Comunque ... anch'io non so !

If I knew who these people were or what they were doing, it would ruin the whole thing. Fabulously mysterious; one of the few times a photo has ever given me chills.

If I rated images this would be a 7/7. I like everything about it.

This image breaks most of the rules of competition for PPA judging and maybe, thats why I like it so much.

 

It is a very powerful photograph.
