U Penn campus at Sunset

I shot with a 35mm lens at f2.8 Do you think a wider aperture would

have been better? I also struggled on photoshop to get the statue a

little brighter as it was in shade compared to the last remaining

rays of light on the person reading. Does this work?

It's a great combination. The picture of the monument is nice itself, and the lady reading is a great element of life in it.
