Aurora Borealis over Chicago - 11/09/04

I don't know if this truly fits under astro-photography, or

landscapes..so I chose landscape. But anyway...hard to balance the

light and I had to fight a film crew to get a decent spot without

their Arri's in my line...

 

Spectacular I think. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Interesting. I think this image uses the blight of the urban glow to it's advantage. The orange (street lamp?) in the lower right is a bit distracting, but overall I think this is well done.

Thanks Rob - I know what you mean about the orange...it is a street lamp behind me - but I decided not to eliminate it in PS...perhaps, I'll try to knock the saturation down a little...
